Production - Specifications for on-screen video
Occasionally, an outside source, be it an advertising agency or internal creative services division, will elect to create ad content themselves. When this option is chosen by a client, certain criteria, technical and creative, must be followed.
WideScreen Media Group and WideScreen Creative Services have set a strict group of standards for the quality of content that we display to the movie-going public. All content going on screen must pass a rigorous check of format, quality, resolution, pixel aspect ratio, and audio level, plus a round of quality control.
For the best quality, any client supplied content that includes video should be shot in high definition. Standard definition content CAN NOT be scaled to fit the screen. Artifacting, interlacing, and a "blurring" of video results. Scaled standard definition video in an ad will be immediately denied and returned for revision. These criteria also apply to artwork and media sent to us for ad creation.
